Our woven polypropylene bags are now available to buy online. These bags combine the advantages of high strength and low weight  to make it an ideal packaging solution for many products. Polypropylene bags are one of the lowest cost types of packaging and polypropylene is also easy to recycle.

Its woven construction minimises damage if the filled sack is snagged.  The sacks are ideal for  multi-trip use and can be used to minimise packaging requirements in line with the Packaging (Essential Requirements) Regulations. They can be supplied in  a variety of styles including coated cloth or with a plastic liner.  Coloured bags are available to help identify the sack contents.

Sandbags were originally designed as temporary flood defences and for military applications. They were originally available only in hessian  (also known as 'jute') material but are now manufactured in different grades of both hessian and woven polypropylene with the end use determining the most suitable material. We are pleased to offer our customers the facility to buy sandbags online.

Normal Duty and UV Stabilised Polypropylene: Ideal for used for temporary flood defences, stabilising temporary road signs and weighing down agricultural  netting.  The UV stabilised bag will have a longer life than the normal duty bag.  However we recommend that both types of bag are stored under covered and away from light

Normal grade hessian cloth construction are sometimes used in conjunction with a weak cement mix to stabilise water ways, banks etc.   An extended life, rotproofed version of the hessian bag is also available

Heavy duty rot proofed hessian sandbags (also kown as jute sandbags) manufactured to BS1214:1977 are more suited for use in  extreme conditions. We have supplied this sandbag to the Ministry of Defence for over 40 years.

Hessian (also known as jute) bags and cloth are produced from jute, which is grown annually as a renewable crop. It is a natural fibre and therefore biodegradable.  This makes it is a very environmentally friendly product .

Our 20x31" lightweight fabric bag has a more open weave to giver greater breathability.  Our 23.5x43" bag is manufactured using 244gsm cloth providing an ideal combination of strength, appearance and economy

Rubble bags are an all round functional bag, used for transporting rubble, bricks and waste quickly and easily.  Rubble bags are made from a thick polythene material, allowing heavy and awkward objects to be bagged and moved with ease.  If you wish to buy small quantities of rubble sacks, please see our online shop below. Our mail sacks are manufactured from tough and durable woven polypropylene and have been supplied to Royal Mail for over seven years.  The mailbags also have an innovative system of 4 hooks evenly spaced around the mouth, this enables them to hang in a frame and allows the mail to be dropped in 

 

To ensure a long service life the bags are manufactured from tough and durable woven polypropylene developed to meet specific tensile strength and abrasion criteria.  The bags are sewn using two rows of lockstitch which prevents the hem from unravelling should it become damaged in use

The bags are typically loaded to a maximum of 11kg.  However to allow for shock loads and to ensure a long service life each hook has been designed to withstand a force of 30kg.

Our QUICKSANDBAGS are activated by simply immersing in water for approximately 5 minutes!

After 5 minutes soaking in water the bags will be about 4" (10cm high) and be ready to use.  Simply build the bags into a wall as described in our free User Guide supplied with the sandless sandbags.  

After use the bags can be disposed of in normal landfill.  Alternatively the contents can be spread on your garden to aid water retention.

Our QUICKSANDBAGS are light, compact and easy to store.  Each bag weighs approximately  1lb (450 grams) and is size 24" (60cm) x 14" (38cm).  Simply remove from the plastic bag, unfold and immerse the sandless sandbag in water for five minutes.  The It will inflate to a height of approximately 4" (10cm) and be ready to use.  In an emergency the flood water can be used to activate the bags.
